  • Knute Bidne- President, CEO

Knute founded The Technology Development Group in 2003. With twenty years of sales, marketing and Information Technology experience in the federal and commercial sectors, his creativity, technological vision and leadership has built an organization that is forward-looking, responsive, quality-driven and customer-focused.

Knute earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Eberly College of Business and Information Technology. His passion is information technology, with a keen interest in human language technologies as they relate to the integration and development of high performance distributed computing solutions that address and solve national priorities.  Knute strives to establish a unique company culture that encourages the dynamic exchange of technical ideas to empower employees and benefit customers. Prior to starting The Technology Development Group, Knute served as President of Co-Ventures, LLC a Maryland Information Technology firm.

  • Ed Ramirez- Operations, HR, Finance

Ed has over 15 years of business, operation, finance and accounting management experience.  His attention to detail and keen business sense has provided the company with a solid business operations base.

Ed currently manages the day to day accounting and financial practices of the business.  He is instrumental in establishing and adhering to Government Cost Accounting best practices and procedures.  He has successfully worked with DCAA on financial reviews and labor rate submissions.  Additionally Ed supports Human Resources requirements and compliance issues.

Ed earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Management from George Mason University.

  • Jon Phillips- Programs, Projects, Linguistics

Jon has over 15 years experience in translation, transcription and project leadership. He has been involved in multiple commercial and Government sponsored efforts in translation and human language technologies. As a US Navy Cryptologic Technician, Linguist and Analyst Jon was involved in translation, training and analysis of operational interests in the Persian Gulf, Pakistan, Egypt, Tunisia and Israel.

Jon has focused his efforts on educating and leading development teams involved in producing next generation translation and terminology management tools.  These tools are built on natural language processing and information retrieval approaches.  They are designed to leverage existing knowledgebase’s and provide intuitive approaches that create, manage and store terminology of interest.

Jon is a graduate of the Defense Language Institute in Monterey CA and has a degree in International Relations from American University.

  • Eric Damphousse- Frameworks, Solutions, Systems, Architecture, Software Engineering

Eric is a dynamic and determined Software Engineer with 23 years of software design and development experience.  He is known for delivering innovative and creative applications by applying state-of-the-art software technologies to develop and deploy exceptional solutions.

Over  his career he has engineered 3D visualization software, fraud analysis systems, multimedia applications for cell phones, command and control systems, logistics applications and more recently solutions addressing information retrieval, distributed computing, human language technologies and persistent data storage.  Eric is the lead in the design and development of the FuzeIn Service Delivery Platform

Eric earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Miami.

  • Michael Roberts, CCIE - Network Architecture, Managed Services, Information Security

Michael has over 10 years experience as a Network and Information Security Professional.   He has extensive experience leveraging his business and technical skills to fulfill both customer facing and complex engineering roles and responsibilities.  He has predominately focused on high level network and security engineering design in classified environments that support mission critical information systems.

Michael has lead major enterprise network infrastructure projects.  His teams are typically responsible for the evaluation of new technologies and the design, implementation and testing of engineering solutions in the areas of Routing and Switching, Security Engineering, Application Delivery and Unified Communications.  Michael is a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert, CCIE and a Cisco Certified Security Professional, CCSP.

Michael is a graduate of Virginia Tech where he received his B.S. in Engineering with a minor in Mathematics.  Michael also received his MBA and M.S. in Information Management from Arizona State University.

  • Mike O’Malley  - Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Statistical Learning, Machine Translation, Image Processing

Over his 14 years of experience, Mike honed his technical skills at Integrity Applications, Incorporated and developed as a program manager at NexGen Communications, LLC before joining the Group.  He has worked for a variety of commercial and government customers, focusing primarily on imagery, video, and secure communications.

Mike has led software teams on projects ranging from desktop software  to heterogeneous enterprise applications spanning the globe.  As the director of Software Solutions and Consulting, he enjoys delivering robust, tested systems  which exceed customer expectations in novel technical domains.

Mike received his B.S. from Penn State and his M.S. from The George Washington University.  He is currently finishing up his dissertation at George Mason University.  In his free time, Mike practices shotokan karate and has been selected to represent the United States in the International Traditional Karate Federation’s Pan American Tournament.
